Volvo XC90 V8 Sport Utility 4.4L V8 Fuel Door Hinge

Installed quickly, but two of the quick rivets snapped off with light taps. Still held the black part securely, but the part which holds onto the spring is so loose that shutting the fuel door causes the hinge to let go from the plastic. When I called, the person basically said people buy multiples because they are so cheap, and then find a good one. He suggested I go to a Volvo dealer instead. If they don't have faith in these parts, why should I?
